MLPPP with 2.3.x solved

use the ppp option

asyncmap 0

This will allow you to use both b channels in ppp-2.3.x as before in
older packages of ppp. At least with external Netopia's/3Com Impact IQ
ISDN modems that is. As always YMMV.
