Red hat installation - superb memory tester:-)

Hello

It really seams as if the Red Hat installation is the master of finding
memory errors, causing sig 11's to prove it. I used to have this problem,
but still I could compile 100 kernels in a row without a single glitch.
After getting a good memory testing program it showed me that my memory
was bad after all. Why is it that the redhat installation is such a superb
way of finding hardware errors?
