Accelerated-X ... Comments Please.

I am considering purchase of Xi Graphic's Accelerated-X. Can anyone give me
and advise/suggestions coming from hands on experience?

Some of the questions I have.

1. Is it worth the money?
2. Is it hard to install (relative to XFree86)
3. Can you use in on more than one platform on the same subnet?
4. How well does it support the latest upgrades do things like KDE, Gnome, etc.
5. Does it support 3D accelerator cards.

With respect to the final question. I have a dual boot NT / Red Hat 5.2
system. I want to add a 3D accelerator card that can be used by both. The
system processor is only a Pentium 200 Pro so I am not looking for anything
very fancy in a 3D card. Some low end Voodoo FX chip card would probably work
fine. Currently the machine (Gateway system) had a STB S3 Virge/VX with 4Meg
Video Ram. I am looking to get a 3D card that will work with BOTH NT and
Linux.

All comments welcome. At this point I am more concerned in finding
Accelerated-X experience than the vid card stuff. But all comments very
welcome.

Thanks in advance
john
