With 4.2 you have a _lot_ to do ;
Start with the kernel ; gcc ; libc ; X, etc..
Basically it would literaly be _TONS_ of building and a absolute nightmare.
It could be done, but not worth it. If you aren't very cluey with linux
you'd have probs as the majority would be built with source code (not rpm)
It ain't that expensive - buy 5.2
