It is indeed true. Its setup as an optout - that is, if you don't disable
it it does it dirty deed. As I understand things, instructions on how to
disable it are included with the chip. I've got them around here
somewhere, if you have one and don't know how to optout let me know and
I'll see if I can't find them.
