This is the problem I face while logging on to my linux server called red
where as I have the same login name and passwd in both NT as well as LINUX
m/c 
according to ENCRYPTION.txt I do not have /usr/local/samba/private/smbpasswd
file 
when I try to create the same using cat it says that there is no specified
directory,
I do not know what to do.

I have NT 4.0 with SP3 installed.
