I just did a dual boot disk last night.
Here's the list:
8.4 gig western digital hdd
fresh install of win98 fat32
defrag the disk
used fips (should be on the RH 5.2 cd) to split the partition. 1 gig
win98 bal. for linux
I copied fips to it's own directory on the win98 partition and ran it
from dos
make sure you have the version that can do fat32 file systems
used the RedHat install floppy to boot from and start the install
split the second partition into 3
/
/home
swap
set the mount point for the win98 partition to /win
the bal. was a normal install
I set up fstab to mount the /win partition on boot as read only
