Mathematics software for Linux?

Anyone know of a good, free (or inexpensive) math app for Linux which
can do analytic and numeric differentiation and integration. If it can
do more that'd be even better.
I've been a Mathematica user for years but have recently sworn off it
due to Wolfram Research's increasingly restrictive (and expensive) use
policies. What I like best about Mathematica is its
completeness/versatility. What I hate about it is its user interface.
I don't expect to get something for free/cheap which is as complete as
Mathematica. I'm working on putting together a "suite" of apps which
together rival Mathematica.
