Not true. You can change the from header in pine. Doing so, however,
requires that you add a line to your pinerc file. The FAQ explains just
how to do it. The reason you can't find it is that it can't be done from
the configuration file. Simply, add the following line to your pinerc
file:
# List of features; see Pine's Setup/options menu for the current set.
# e.g. feature-list= select-without-confirm, signature-at-bottom
# Default condition for all of the features is no-.
feature-list=enable-bounce-cmd,
enable-full-header-cmd,
expanded-view-of-distribution-lists,
enable-dot-folders,
enable-flag-cmd,
enable-msg-view-urls,
enable-msg-view-web-hostnames, #############
allow-changing-from, <---------------- ADD THIS LINE
