how to get screen width&height from X-Windows?

Hi,

Would someone please tell me how to read the X-Windows client screen width
and height? I've written a script to run Wabi in an Xnest window & the
script should make the Xnest window (XWindowsWidth-8) wide and
(XWindowsHeight-72) wide.
