XFM Application Box

Just installed RH5.2 on old P133 machine in my part time res. the books
I brought "Linux For Dummies" (which pretty well describes me right now)
does not give any assistance on the command to initialize the
"Applications" folder or screen that comes up when I run XFM. It is empty
now, and I need to initialize it. Any help appreciated.
