Change "X" monitor Freq?

During intall, I selected "Generic Monitor" (it's an old 14" svga Fox
brand). Unter NT, I use 800x600 @60hz, and it works pretty well. Install
gave me 50hz, and the screen is a tad squirrelly. Any way to change this
setting without using XF86Config? I can't find XCONFIGURATOR on my freshly
installed system.
