XFree86 introduced support for the RivaTNT chipset starting in version 3.3.3
(the latest version). From the XFree86 FAQ:
Q.F16- Is a server for Riva 128, 128zx or Riva TNT based cards available?
Support for all these NVIDIA chipsets is included in XFree86-3.3.3. Previous
problems with shared IRQs, and distorted displays at high resolutions have
been fixed.
Good luck. =)
