I've installed linux on a proxy server with 30gb+ of HDD and more partitions
than you had and I used the normal linux fdisk (which I find better)

Not sure about druid, but I'd recommend to use fdisk to be safe.

Even I doubt very much that druid would format the hard drives, it'll only
prompt you to format the ext2 partitions, and even then you can say no.

You should get it installed ok ; the only problem you may have is video
card - not knowing what card you have I don't know if X will know how to
talk to it or not.
