Stay away from Adaptec. I've used them and they are trouble due to
historical driver issues. And compared to other cards based on the
NCR 35c8xx chipset not that good of a deal. BusLogic cards are also good.
If you don't believe me, ask the linux-kernel list- they'll tell you the
same thing.
