NIC Autoprobing Problems

I'm having a bit of a problem with two of my computers. . .
When I try to install RH, I get to setting up my NIC and it doesn't
autodetect it.  I go and select the appropriate type of NIC for the
system, and tell it to autoprobe, and it can't find it.  Since I don't
know what the irq and io's are, what should I do?
The two NICs are an ether16 linksys and an ne2000.
