RE: LI on bootup (Am I missing something?)

I sent you a response but your ISP bounced my email.

You need to upgrade to kernel 2.0.36! You can
get an updated kernel with headers at:
ftp://ftp.cc.gatech.edu
/pub/Linux/distributions/redhat/updates/5.0/i386

kernel-2.0.36-3.i386.rpm
kernel-pcmcia-cs-2.0.36-3.i386.rpm
kernel-headers-2.0.36-3.i386.rpm
kernel-source-2.0.36-3.i386.rpm
kernel-ibcs-2.0.36-3.i386.rpm

I had a similar problem. Instead of using hda=c,h,s
use hd=c,h,s. If you have a BIOS that is not able
to recoginize a large drive like mine then you will
have problems.

I talked with a long time linux user and
computer geek and we finally decided to turn
off the hd in the BIOS and use a boot disk.
So my HD is not listed in my BIOS and everything
works fine. It is a little slower at boot time,
but everything works 100% now.
