I don't have quotas turned on, but I believe if you type quota <user>, you
can see what quotas they have.
Have you tried copying files to one of these patitions from linux (not
through samba). Is there any difference between what you can copy via samba,
as yourself, and as root?
Also if I remeber correctly you said these were vfat patitions. Do they need
to be vfat? If you will just be using them via samba, I would keep them
ext2.
Did you figure out your startup problem? was it extra sym links in thr rc.d
dir like someone pointed out?
