Tony, I believe there is some confusion in the thread. The subject said VPN,
however Steve is
talking about VNC which is a product from ORL. As for how an Xserver takes
over a Win95/98
box? Actually there is a port of the server for Windows, which works on
Win95/98 and NT. You
run the server on the Windows machine and connect to it from your remote
location with the client
VNCviewer which is ported to MacOS, Windows, and Xwindows for Linux/Unix
machines.
It is a great program, and I use it all the time, but as far as I know,
there is no encryption in the connection.
