Hi Florin,
I am using a Toshiba Tecra 730CDT with RedHat5.0. - not exactly
your machine but close enough.
I was able to install (and feel proud of myself) RedHat5.0 on
a third party hard disk (a CMS 3.2GB). My notes here says I
selected 8 bits and "1024x768" when I was installing the XFree86.
Hope this helps.
My problem is I could not make its internal modem to work with
minicom (even as a root). I tried hard but still have no clue.
If you can make the modem to work with minicom, please let me know.
Thank you and good luck to you!
Philip
