You only get full-duplex with a switching hub that gives you dedicated 10 or
100Mbps bandwidth per channel, as opposed to a shared-bandwidth LAN segment
(ie. 10 or 100Mbps for the whole LAN) through a normal hub. Collision
detection is switched off with full-duplex... there's an indepth explanation
at the 3Com Web site.
Be nice to have 100Mbps in both directions, but switches cost $$$
unfortunately.
