Not yet, and it sure seems ridiculous to have to struggle this much
with such a basic office function.  I have efax receiving OK, but no
luck with sending yet.

My first attempt at compiling xfax, the X interface for efax, was
unsuccessful--no surprise there.

I've likewise been only partially successful with Hylafax.  One
advantage is that there is an active email list for this package, and
if I'm willing to spend the hours working on it, I'm pretty sure I
could get the thing going.

Kfax is a nice program for viewing and printing faxes, and I've used it
with efax-received faxes.

Interesting!  I've only seen references to efax and Hylafax.

No, lots more frustration there.  I got the missing dependencies for
gtk and libjpeg.   I've got those, but they caused their own problems,
and I got too disgusted to keep fiddling.

This whole thing with images (faxes, scans, digital photos) is a big
gap between the things I do a lot of with Win NT and can't do =any=
with Linux.

There's a lot to hate about Linux... it's a good thing there's a lot to
like, too.
