!st I have to say thank you !!!
Everytime I reboot the system goes back to where it was.
I've redone mount-oremount,ro /
/usr
/usr/loca etc
over and over
I've noticed that the /etc/mtab looks like something
from dmesg output almost like dmesg > /etc/mtab.
I can still telnet to the system I've made a backup copy
of my /etc/mtab and replace it after I can log in from
another system. On the other system I type xdm
and I get a xdm window on the mixed up system.
I can than log into xwindows and do things.
I'm not sure what happened.
I'm not sure what I need to do probably reinstall ?
