First, I suspect that at least many, most likely most programs don't use the
linux convention of "odd middle digit=development."
Second, I've used it for about a year, and never had any problems. Works well,
and easy to install. I can't vouch for any security holes, but I have the
kernel filter out all packets to it's port from other machines, so I'm not too
concerned about it.
