Netscape, Netscape. Who's got my netscape?

I am running Hedwig on a 586 workstation connected to a small home network.
My connection to the internet is through our masquerading Red Hat 5.2
server.  I started my workstation yesterday when the server was down
(installed a cdrom in it) and clicked the large Netscape icon in the bottom
panel and also started GnomeICU.  Both hung and I had to Ctrl+Alt+Backspace
to get out of Gnome.  When I started Gnome again the Netscape and the Gnome
toolbox icons were gone from the panel.  Where did they go and how do I get
them back?
