More on PCMCIA

Here is my latest attempt at this.

Changed target install directory to /lib/modules/2.2.2-ac5

Include 32-bit (CardBus) card support (y/n) [n]: y

The PCMCIA drivers need to be compiled to match the kernel they will be
used with, or some or all of the modules may fail to load.
If you are not sure what to do, please consult the PCMCIA-HOWTO.

How would you like to set kernel-specific options?
1 - Read from the currently running kernel
2 - Read from the Linux source tree
3 - Set each option by hand (experts only!)
Enter optioon (1-3) [1]: 1

Extracting kernel symbol versions...
Kernel configuration options:
        Symmetric multiprocessing support is disabled.
        PCI BIOS support is enabled.
Advanced Power Management (APM) support is enabled.
        SCSI support is enabled.
        Networking support is enabled.
Radio network interface support is disabled.
Token Ring device support is disabled.
        Module version checking is disabled.
PCMCIA IDE device support is enabled.
DEC Alpha UDB target platform is disabled.
        /proc filesystem support is enabled.

Your module utilities are version 2.1.85.

It looks like you have a System V init file setup.

X Windows incluld files not found.
Forms library not installed.
If you want to build the 'cardinfo' PCMCIA control panel, you
need to install the Forms Library, as well as the X Windows include
files.
        See the HOWTO for details.

What do you make of this? I could sure use some help at this point.
Where can you get the Forms library and the X Windows inculde files?

I think part of my problem is that I have two kernels on my machine from
when I upgraded to 2.2.2-ac5 using Steve's methode to get X working on
my Dell I7000. I can't thank steve enough the for the valuable
information he has given for us Dell users. I am still wondering if its
a good idea to try and get rid of the old kernel files and anything
related. Is this something that's worth doing or is there a way around
my current problems?

Thanks,

Aaron
