Bad pixels in LCD

I have started to notice black and off color pixels showing up on my LCD
screen on my laptop. Does anyone know if this could be caused by a setup
in X that is a little off? I am running 1024x768 at 24bit color. The
laptop is a Dell Inspiron 7000.
