Re: What books to read?

Hi,

what type of windows user are you?

Beginner - What is a file, What are file attributes?
Novice - What are file associations.. What are network protocols?
Expert - DNS, HTTP, NT Services

I'm assuming that you are between novice and expert, please forgive me if you're
not.

I then think that you need a book which covers most everything you know but
explaining it in UNIX.

I agree with the recommended Running Linux, but I must recommend the following
books:

1) Unix System Administration Handbook ( covers about everything, it's also
known as the Red Book.. lock it up once you get it and never lend it, it won't
return)

2) I find books by Mark Sobell to be quite good too..

3) Last but not least the O'Reilly titles are always excellent.

Hope this helps, feel free to e-mail me directly if I can be of further
assistance.

Regards,

Ahbaid.
