No, you only need a special script if you don't put it in your path.
And if you don't know about your path, you should learn. 8^)
I expect that in the future, xwp will come with something to put in
/usr/local/bin so that you don't have to know anything, but before WP8
it was mostly marketed at places with Unix admins, so it was probably
unexpected that there would be people installing it who couldn't even
remember where they put it, let alone modify PATH....
(It may be helpful to note that the WP8 that's shipping is a
changeover from SDCorp development to Corel, and SDCorp focused mainly
on large Unix sites. Things should get better, easier, and such as
time goes on.)
