Back-Space Key Prob

Well over the last few months I know I saw a mention of this problem but
can't find it.

RH 5.2 with 2.0.36 kernel

"Updated" the XFree86 rpms

Now in X the back-space key malfunctions

In console mode it works fine

Everything else seems okay

Any thoughts?
