Hi Guys!
First of all, I'm including several short questions in one mailing here, so
please tell me if that's not good. I can break them up next time if that's
better. ^_^
1) Why would /sbin/ifup ppp0 cause my modem to dial only sometimes,
while other times it just sits and stares at me after I make this command?
2) I can't seem to get windows in X to snap open to the maximum space
without ending up behind the Gnome Panel. I can't find a way to fix this
in the docs.
3) I can't get exmh to stretch all the way across my screen horizontally. It
goes almost all the way, but cannot be enlarged any more. Netscape
does not have this problem.
4) Why do I get this sometimes when exiting linuxconf? The file
/etc/sysconfig/network (for example) as a revision date in the future.
This probably means that you system time is wrong or has been wrong
at some point. (I have news for linuxconf: It's buggy. My system
clock is perfect. If a file has an incorrect date on it, linuxconf gave it
that date.) ^^_^^
5) Using Gnome with Enlightenment: I cannot seem to make sense of
the Alt-Tab circulation. If I have only two apps open, it seems fine. Add
a third app and the circulation sometimes works, sometimes breaks
down (only two cycle) only to get better again as I continue to cycle.
Anyone?
All for now.
Yuki ^_^
