Thanks for the help : adding the 75dpi font path solved the pb.

Now I have 2 more questions :

- where is the config file for xfs ??? 

- why is the call to netscape (from emacs when clicking on a URL) not working anymore ??

for example

 /usr/lib/netscape/netscape-communicator -remote openURL(http://www.redhat.com/cgi-bin/support?faq)

locks up 

What are the right parameters to remotely open an URL in an already existing nestcape window ?
