Xnews author wants to port to Linux, but....

I have recently switched from using one of my all time favorite windows
programs (Forte Agent) to using Luu Tran's Xnews.  I never thought the day
would come when I would find a better news reader than Forte's Agent, but it
finally has.  Not only that, but Xnews is freeware! If you want to check it

The purpose of this message is not to pass along new and exciting windows
programs, but to recruit help and encouragement for Luu that he needs to
port this wonderful program to Linux.  I am sure there are some developers
that subscribe to this list, and possibly non-developers, that can offer
suggestions to Luu for his development tool needs.  This, he says, is the
only reason he is reluctant to do so.  Here is his recent comment to me when
I suggested it to him:

"not until there's a good dev tool for Linux.  I don't think I can deal with
gcc+emacs after using Delphi :("
