I've made several boot floppies with 6.0 ... all worked.
The recue technique requires two floppies 1) boot 1)rescue
You make the rescue floppy from the "*/images/rescue.img" on the CD or
from a Redhat mirror. There is a text on CD that explains how it is
done called "rescue.txt" I forgot exactly where it is but close to
top level of the CD. Basically:
dd if=rescue.img of=/dev/fd0 (with floppy drive unmounted)
After making the rescue floppy:
Boot with boot floppy
At the boot prompt type "rescue" then hit enter.
You will be prompted when to insert the rescue disk.
