Absolutely.  Just edit your /etc/smb.conf file.  The default /etc/smb.conf
is very discriptive.  You can also set up a netlogon script to attach drive
letters to shares, syncronize times, install software, etc.

I haven't got a clue why people waste money on a NT server license when they
don't use it for nothing more than logging people in and sharing files and
printers....
