The scale command is the one you want, and it will work... You have to
watch gimp as it auto-sizes big images, so make sure the view/zoom is
set to 1:1 so you can see the 'real' size of the image... Also if you
scale it to a pixel size, ie 500x300, it will saved at that size... I do
it all the time. I use nothing else but asWedit and gimp for my web
pages.
