you may want to take a look at the thread titled 'make command' that went
around last week.  tour the archives on Chuck Mead's site
(www.moongroup.com).  i feel as though the question you are asking is
answered within these posts.

]  That did it!  I had tried MAKEDEV fd0 before with no luck, though.
