It is an IBM (i.e., lexmark) 4070LJ. Let me recap it this way: On my old
486/33 5.2 machine, it worked great using the BJ-200 filter. On this new
Celron/400 6.0 machine, nothing seems to happen when I print a test page
(ASCII, PS, or direct; maybe there is somewhere I am missing error
messages?). I did the same configuration steps. I believe it is /dev/lp1
on the 5.2 host and /dev/lp0 is detected on the 6.0 host. The 6.0 machine
already has a 'parport_pc' line in /etc/conf.modules.
