XFree86 Problem

I just started X and got a font path error. Now it worked fine last
saturday when I used it and I can't understand how it would just stop
working like this. Also, when I try to start XF86Config from the command
line I got the message saying bash: XF86Config: Command not found. Since
the XF86Config file could not be found I put the full path in to start
it. Using the full path I got  a permission denied message. I am logged
in as root so I should not have any permission problems.
