I'm not sure what you mean by terminal... but my first comment is that by
fiddling with XF86Setup I was able to get a lot more screen real estate
than the red hat default. I've heard others complain similarly while still
others think XF86Setup sucks. I suspect it depends on your display
hardware. YMMV. If you can get more resolution, and your user can stand
the smaller icons and fonts, that will help.
I found that the toolbar is less intrusive on the right hand of the screen.
You can also set it to auto-hide but this is a little awkward if you use
all the virtual desk space.
I don't have a GUI handy to explain exactly the steps to those config
menus... I think it was under <footprint>/this panel's properties/...
I've been trying to get up the energy to download and upgrade the few dozen
Gnome and KDE packages. The newer Netscape always seems a little better;
I'll bet the Gnome updates are better too.
