6.1 Upgrade Disabled BootMagic

Evening

I just upgraded from 6.0 to 6.1.  Everything went 
swimmingly.....except.  Upon being prompted to reboot, and after doing some 
configuration cleanup, I did a cold reboot....right to the LILO 
prompt.  Upon tabbing and selecting DOS, I found that my dos/W98 partition 
was still there and in fine order.  What I discovered had happened is that 
RH upgrade had disabled BootMagic, my boot manager....and, fortunately, not 
overwritten my MBR.  However, I did have at least one heart attack until I 
figured out what was up.

Not a nice thing to do, with no warning,  Red Hat.

BTW, otherwise, I find that Red Hat is consistently better and easier than 
its Orem competitor at installation and setup, contrary to some commonly 
held opinions.
