strange mouse under X

Howdy All,

Got a strange one here.  Dell system with M$ PS/2 IntelliMouse.  Mouse works
fine under gpm in the console, but if X is started the mouse really freaks
out.  /dev/mouse is set to /dev/psaux

any ideas?
