Pop Server not working

hi all,

we have installed RedHat 6.0 on our new server. Everything seems to be
working f
ine ie. telnet , ftp ,http 
but when we try to get our mails using netscape mail client it is not able
to co
nnect to the server 
and get the users mails but the mails do exist on
/var/spool/mail{user-account-n
ame}

do i need to set something for doing this.


it also seems that all mails sent from netscape to the outside world are
also no
t going to the outside world but they are going if we send them thru pine.

what is the exact connection here??
{is there something to do with the pop server?}
