If you're not using NFS or any rpc based services, you shouldn't need
portmap.  While I don't think portmap has any obvious security holes
without other services running, why take the chance?  I say if you don't
need it, at least turn it off.  You may even want to remove it since rpm
makes adding/removing packages easy.
