I don't have a RH 6 machine handy but on my 5.2 machines the 'status'
function in most or all of the /etc/rc.d/init.d scripts is broken. I just
did 'crond status' and got three PIDs but none of them are there later. I
think the function in functions is broken; I guess it "finds" some
processes which don't exist, probably itself looking for crond.
It's a minor annoyance but has anyone fixed it or know how to fix it? Thanks.
