I am now on my fourth attempt here, but am further along then at any other
time. I finally got enough of the way through the install this time to get a
bootable system. I kept getting errors saying installation terminated
sending signal, and I would get either signal 11 or 13. At the bottom of the
message it would say that its now safe to reboot. So the first three times I
didn't get enough installed to reboot, so I would just start the whole
installation over again. So this last time I tried it made it to the point
of the install where it wanted to configure X. When right after it probed
and found the correct video card it died again with the same error I had
been receiving, I think 13 this time. So I rebooted the machine and let it
boot linux up. This time linux booted just fine and I am in as root at the
moment. But now when I run the Xconfigurator I get this message:
Server does not exist, can't continue.
tried to use ../../usr/X11R6/bin/XF86_SVGA
So what do I do now? I have the XFree86-SVGA-3.3.3.1-49.i386.rpm on my
machine in two different directories. Should I run the rpm file and install
it?
