Just a thought: Has she waited a good long time? I've had SMB take a
while when it wasn't happy. She should take a look at the logs. Also,
examine what starts after SMB just to make sure it's really SMB. As a last
resort, I try to kill (control-C) the process if it doesn't start... I'm
probably just being superstitious.
Anyway, if it's mundged then someone is going to need to start in single
mode and unmundge it.
