I use Redhat 5.2.
I have upgraded the RAM Memory on my Gateway 2000 G-5, by adding a 64 MB DIMM to the vacant slot beside the existing 32 MB DIMM (both SDRAM). The BIOS did register this increase in system-memory and the new total of some 95 MB is faithfully announced at every boot.
But at startup Linux seems to see only 64 MB RAM, as does GNOME. (The 'other operating system' reports 95 MB).
dmesg reports about memory:
Memory: sized by int13 088h
Memory: 64176k/66556k available (764 kernel code, 348 reserved, 1232k data)
I suppose I have overlooked something, can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks in advance, Adri.
