That functionality seems to have evolved somewhat.
Before your virtual clauses, add this:
NameVirtualHost <IP ADDRESS HERE>
Then in the virtual directive, list the IP address, and then in the clause somewhere, add the site name directive.
That should fix things up just fine. It just wants to know which IP address should be monitored for virtual serving.
(That's the best I can explain it anyway.)
