Re: /etc/issue issue

edit etc/rc.d/rc.local and comment out:

    echo ""> /etc/issue
    echo $R >> /etc/issue
    echo "Kernel $(uname -r) on $a(uname -m)" >> /etc/issue

then edit /etc/issue to say what you want, then at a prompt type cp -f
/etc/issue /etc/issue.net
